STALL SPOTLIGHT: SARAH WILLIAMS WEAVER

Beautiful things from fibre to textile

Sarah Williams has been weaving for more than 20 years. She started by learning tapestry weaving on a simple wooden frame, then graduated to the big floor loom she uses now (pictured) via smaller table-top looms. On the big loom she can weave any width from 4 inches to 58 inches, and any wwight from light as air silk scarves to heavy rugs. Along the way she made side excursions into spinning, braiding, and felt making, all of which she still loves to do. Sarah uses natural fibres (wool, silk, linen and hemp), and she loves to play with colour and texture.

Sarah makes rugs (which are often made to commission), cushions, and scarves or wraps. Contact her to discuss a unique commission!
